A. J. Ayer

A. J. Ayer was an English philosopher who became the leading English representative of logical positivism. His 1936 book *Language, Truth, and Logic* advanced verificationism, holding that meaningful claims must be analytically true or testable through experience. Across his later work, he examined knowledge, perception, language, and philosophical analysis within the empiricist tradition.
