Adam Mickiewicz

Adam Mickiewicz was a central figure of Polish Romanticism and is widely regarded as Poland’s national poet. His major works include the poetic drama *Dziady* (*Forefathers’ Eve*) and the national epic *Pan Tadeusz*, which helped shape Polish literary and national identity. He also worked as a publicist, translator, lecturer, and political activist, often linking literature with the struggle for Poland’s cultural and political independence.
