Anna Louise Strong

Anna Louise Strong was an American journalist whose reporting followed the upheavals of labor politics, the Soviet Union, and revolutionary China. A leader in Seattle’s 1919 General Strike, she later worked as a foreign correspondent and wrote extensively about socialist movements and political change. Her career combined on-the-ground reporting with outspoken advocacy, making her a distinctive chronicler of twentieth-century revolutions.
