Bill Gallagher

Bill Gallagher (Alfred William Gallagher) was a New Zealand farmer, inventor, manufacturing engineer, businessman, and commercial fisherman. In the 1930s, he developed an electric-fence system for farms, later building a manufacturing business around the invention. His work helped make electric fencing a practical tool for livestock management and established the Gallagher company.
