Charles Spurgeon

Charles Spurgeon was a British Particular Baptist preacher whose London ministry made him one of the most prominent evangelical voices of the nineteenth century. He pastored New Park Street Chapel, later the Metropolitan Tabernacle, for 38 years and combined forceful preaching with extensive pastoral and charitable work. Spurgeon was also a prolific author whose sermons, biblical commentary, and devotional writings continued his influence beyond the pulpit.
