Don Knotts

Don Knotts was an American actor and comedian whose nervous, finely timed style made Deputy Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show one of television’s defining comic characters. He later won another generation of viewers as Ralph Furley on Three’s Company and continued performing in films, theater, television, and voice work. His five Emmy wins for The Andy Griffith Show underscored his lasting influence on televised comedy.
