Earl Nightingale

Earl Nightingale was an American radio broadcaster, author, and motivational speaker whose work helped shape modern personal-development media. His 1956 recording, *The Strangest Secret*, became the first spoken-word recording to sell more than one million copies and earn a Gold Record. In 1960, he co-founded Nightingale-Conant with Lloyd Conant, building a company devoted to motivational audio programs.
