Edgar Snow

Edgar Snow was an American journalist and foreign correspondent whose reporting focused heavily on China. His 1938 book *Red Star Over China*, based on his access to Communist-held territory and interviews with figures including Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai, helped introduce the Chinese Communist movement to international readers. Snow also taught at Yanjing University and maintained a long engagement with Chinese affairs through journalism, books, and documentary work.
