Elizabeth Loftus

Elizabeth Loftus is an American cognitive psychologist whose research has shown how suggestion and post-event information can alter human memory. Her work on false memories, eyewitness testimony, and the relationship between psychology and law has influenced both psychological research and courtroom practice. She is a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Irvine, where she studies memory and its legal applications.
