Federico Fellini

Federico Fellini was an Italian filmmaker whose imaginative cinema fused autobiographical memory, dreamlike fantasy, satire, and vivid spectacle. After contributing to Roberto Rossellini’s neorealist screenplays, he directed landmark films including *La strada*, *Nights of Cabiria*, *La dolce vita*, *8½*, and *Amarcord*. His distinctive visual style and sustained influence made him one of the defining auteurs of twentieth-century cinema.
