Festo Kivengere

Festo Kivengere was a Ugandan Anglican bishop, evangelist, and leading figure in the East African Revival. As Bishop of Kigezi from 1972, he also led African Evangelistic Enterprise’s work in East Africa and became known for preaching internationally. His opposition to Idi Amin’s regime forced him into exile in 1977, after which he returned to Uganda and continued his ministry until his death in 1988.
