Frederick Denison Maurice

Frederick Denison Maurice was an English Anglican theologian whose writings, especially *The Kingdom of Christ* (1838), sought to address Christian division through a more inclusive vision of the Church. A founder and leading influence of the Christian Socialist movement, he connected Christian faith with nonviolent social reform and education. He helped establish Queen’s College for women and the Working Men’s College in London, while also serving as a professor at King’s College London and Cambridge.
