Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo (1907–1954) was a Mexican painter whose intimate self-portraits and personal imagery distinguished her from the monumental Mexican muralists of her era. Her work drew on Mexican history, symbolism, and lived experience, often treating the body and identity as central subjects. Kahlo’s former home, La Casa Azul, is now the Museo Frida Kahlo in Mexico City.
