Galen Weston

Galen Weston was a British-Canadian businessman who led the family-owned George Weston Limited and Loblaw Companies. After taking charge of Loblaw in 1972, he helped reshape the struggling grocery chain and expanded the Weston family’s interests across food, retail, real estate, and luxury department stores. He also chaired the W. Garfield Weston Foundation and remained a major figure in Canadian business until his death in Toronto on April 12, 2021.
