Gu Dingfang

Gu Dingfang (1489–1554) was a Ming-dynasty imperial physician whose medical work combined clinical practice with the preservation and study of classical texts. Research on his life and excavated funerary objects highlights his contribution to conserving ancient medical editions and developing an original approach to psychological therapy. He should not be confused with the similarly named Ming official Gu Dingchen.
