Hans Urs von Balthasar

Hans Urs von Balthasar was a Swiss Catholic theologian and priest whose work brought together theology, philosophy, literature, and Christian spirituality. His major theological synthesis, comprising *The Glory of the Lord*, *Theo-Drama*, and *Theo-Logic*, explored Christian revelation through the interrelated dimensions of beauty, goodness, and truth. He also helped found *Communio*, an international Catholic review, and his theological collaboration with Adrienne von Speyr strongly shaped his understanding of the Church and spiritual life.
