Harold Eugene Edgerton

Harold Eugene Edgerton was an American electrical engineer, inventor, and MIT professor who pioneered electronic stroboscopic photography. His rapid flashes made fleeting events visible, producing iconic images of milk drops, bullets, hummingbirds, and athletes in motion. He also applied high-speed imaging and electronic flash technology to wartime aerial photography, nuclear-test documentation, sonar, and underwater exploration.
