Hayedeh

Hayedeh, born Masoumeh Dadebala, was a leading Persian singer whose rich alto voice and command of traditional vocal forms shaped nearly two decades of Iranian music. Trained by composer and violinist Ali Tajvidi, she first gained recognition through Radio Iran before recording and performing widely in Iran, Europe, and the United States. After immigrating to the United States in 1979, she continued her career until her death in 1990.
