Helen Keller

Helen Keller was an American author, lecturer, and political activist whose life after becoming deafblind in infancy included a pioneering education at Radcliffe College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her autobiography, *The Story of My Life*, helped establish her literary career, while her later work with the American Foundation for the Blind supported advocacy for people with vision loss. Keller also campaigned for women’s suffrage, workers’ rights, and broader social reform.
