Henri de Lubac

Henri de Lubac was a French Jesuit theologian whose work renewed Catholic engagement with the Church Fathers, Christian tradition, and modern culture. His major books, including *Catholicism*, *Corpus Mysticum*, and *The Mystery of the Supernatural*, helped shape twentieth-century Catholic theology and influenced the Second Vatican Council. He later served as a conciliar expert and was made a cardinal by John Paul II in 1983.
