Hussein I of Jordan

Hussein I of Jordan was a Hashemite monarch who guided Jordan through nearly five decades of regional conflict, political upheaval, and nation-building. Proclaimed king in 1952, he oversaw the expansion of Jordan’s economic and social infrastructure while maintaining the state’s stability during the Arab-Israeli conflict.
