Ibrahim El-Salahi

Ibrahim El-Salahi is a pioneering Sudanese modernist whose paintings and drawings combine African, Islamic, Arabic, and European visual traditions. His use of Arabic calligraphy and abstraction helped shape the distinctive vocabulary associated with the Khartoum School. Trained at the Slade School of Fine Art, he also worked as a public servant and diplomat, linking his artistic career to Sudan’s cultural institutions and international life.
