Jimmy Lai

Jimmy Lai is a Hong Kong businessman and activist who founded the Giordano clothing chain before entering media. In 1995, he launched Apple Daily through his media company, building a widely read newspaper known for its critical coverage of Hong Kong and Beijing. Lai later became a prominent advocate for democracy and press freedom in Hong Kong.
