John C. Malone

John C. Malone is an American media and telecommunications executive who led Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI) as president and chief executive from 1973 until its 1999 merger with AT&T. He later became a leading figure in Liberty Media and related communications companies, while also developing a major landholding and conservation portfolio. Through the Malone Family Foundation, established in 1997, he has supported expanded access to secondary education for academically talented students with limited financial resources.
