Junius Spencer Morgan

Junius Spencer Morgan was an American banker who became head of a successful London-based merchant-banking firm. In 1864, he established J. S. Morgan & Co., helping build the Morgan banking house’s transatlantic reach. He also collected books and manuscripts and played an influential role in directing the early career of his son, Pierpont Morgan.
