Kurt Tucholsky

Kurt Tucholsky was a German journalist, satirist and writer whose sharp political criticism made him one of the important voices of the Weimar era. A major contributor to Die Weltbühne, he also wrote under pseudonyms including Peter Panter, Theobald Tiger and Ignaz Wrobel. His works included Rheinsberg: A Storybook for Lovers, while his opposition to militarism and Nazism led to censorship, exile and the revocation of his German citizenship.
