Lesslie Newbigin

Lesslie Newbigin was a British missionary bishop, theologian, and leading voice in twentieth-century ecumenism. After serving in India and becoming a bishop of the Church of South India, he held senior roles in the International Missionary Council and World Council of Churches. His books, including *The Open Secret* and *The Gospel in a Pluralist Society*, helped shape modern thinking about Christian mission in secular and pluralist cultures.
