About Li Shangyin
Li Shangyin (813–858) was a major poet of China’s late Tang dynasty. His richly allusive verse, especially his celebrated “no-title” poems, is known for suggestive imagery and deliberate ambiguity. His surviving work became one of the most enduring literary achievements of the late Tang period.
