Lida Heymann

Lida Heymann was a leading German feminist, editor, and pacifist who campaigned for women’s suffrage and legal equality. With Anita Augspurg, she helped organize the international women’s peace movement and co-edited the feminist-pacifist journal *Die Frau im Staat* from 1919 to 1933. An outspoken opponent of Nazism, Heymann went into exile in Switzerland in 1933, where she later completed her memoirs with Augspurg.
