About Lu Xun
Lu Xun, the pen name of Zhou Shuren, was a major modern Chinese writer whose fiction and essays used irony and satire to expose social injustice and intellectual stagnation. His best-known works include “A Madman’s Diary” (1918) and “The True Story of Ah Q” (1921–1922), influential texts in the development of modern Chinese literature. He also contributed to literary criticism and translation, helping shape the cultural debates of early twentieth-century China.
