Mairead Maguire

Mairead Maguire is a Northern Irish peace activist who helped found the Community of Peace People, a grassroots movement opposing violence during the Troubles. Alongside Betty Williams, she received the 1976 Nobel Peace Prize for efforts to end the conflict in Northern Ireland. She has continued advocating nonviolence, dialogue, and human rights internationally.
