Marcel Marceau

Marcel Marceau was a French actor and mime artist best known for creating Bip, the white-faced clown whose silent performances made pantomime internationally recognizable. He founded the Compagnie Marcel Marceau and developed mimodramas including *Le Manteau*, *Le Joueur de flûte*, and *Exercices de style*. His work expanded mime into a sophisticated theatrical language built on gesture, rhythm, and visual storytelling.
