Mercy Oduyoye

Mercy Oduyoye is a Ghanaian Methodist theologian whose work centers African women’s theologies, Christian theology, and the relationship between religion and culture. Educated at the University of Ghana and the University of Cambridge, she served in major ecumenical organizations, including the All Africa Conference of Churches and the World Council of Churches. She initiated the Circle of Concerned African Women Theologians, creating an influential platform for African women to research, write, and publish theology from their own contexts.
