Morrissey

Morrissey is an English singer and songwriter who co-founded The Smiths with guitarist Johnny Marr in Manchester in 1982. As the band’s vocalist and lyricist, he helped shape a literate, emotionally charged style heard on songs such as “This Charming Man” and “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out.” After The Smiths dissolved in 1987, he began a successful solo career with the album Viva Hate in 1988.
