Paul Joostens

Paul Joostens was a Belgian avant-garde artist whose practice ranged across painting, drawing, collage, assemblage, poetry, and prose. Influenced by Cubism and Futurism, he became one of Belgium’s early collage artists and embraced Dada after 1919. His later work turned toward medieval, mystical, and symbolic imagery while retaining an experimental spirit.
