Rida Muhammad Rashid

Rida Muhammad Rashid, better known as Muhammad Rashid Rida, was a Syrian Sunni scholar, publisher, and reformer whose work helped shape Islamic debates in the early twentieth century. He edited the influential journal *al-Manar*, using it to address religious renewal, political reform, and the challenges facing Muslim societies. His thought combined reformist concerns with a strong emphasis on Sunni scholarship and the authority of Islam’s early generations.
