Sally Potter

Sally Potter is an English film director and screenwriter whose work moves between experimental cinema, feminist reinterpretation, and literary adaptation. Her breakthrough feature, Orlando (1992), brought Virginia Woolf’s gender-fluid novel to the screen with Tilda Swinton, while films such as The Tango Lesson and The Gold Diggers reflect Potter’s background in dance, performance, and avant-garde film. She has also directed opera and theatre, composed music, and co-founded the production company Adventure Pictures.
