Sangeeta N. Bhatia

Sangeeta N. Bhatia is an American nanotechnologist and biological engineer whose research applies micro- and nanotechnology to medicine. At MIT, she develops “tiny technologies” for cancer detection and treatment, liver-disease research, drug delivery, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Her work includes human microlivers that model drug metabolism and disease, as well as nanosensors and nanoparticles designed for medical diagnosis and therapy.
