Sathasivian Cooper

Sathasivian “Saths” Cooper is a South African clinical psychologist whose career has combined psychological practice with social-justice advocacy. He was active in the Black Consciousness movement and was imprisoned for anti-apartheid activities, continuing his psychology studies while incarcerated. Cooper later held senior leadership roles in international psychology, including the presidency of the International Union of Psychological Science.
