Wei Yingwu

Wei Yingwu was a poet and government official of China’s Tang dynasty, remembered especially for poetry attentive to landscapes, quiet observation, and the social disruptions of his age. His poems also address the economic and social upheaval that followed the An Lushan Rebellion, giving his work a broader historical dimension than its often restrained style suggests.
