Yves Congar

Yves Congar was a French Dominican theologian and a leading twentieth-century Catholic thinker on ecclesiology and Christian unity. His writings on ecumenism, church reform, the laity, and the Holy Spirit strongly influenced the Second Vatican Council, where he served as a theological expert. He was made a cardinal in 1994, shortly before his death in 1995.
